OUR TEAM

JEN GERRISH
DIRECTOR/LEAD TEACHER
Ms. Jen has been teaching in an early childhood environment since August of 2002, a couple months after graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Since then she has taught in toddler classrooms, preschool classrooms, kindergarten classrooms, and even helped direct programs. Her dream of opening her own little school became a reality in September of 2012 when Fiddlehead School House was born. When she is not teaching, she can be found supporting her girls in their various extra curricular activities, at the lake with her family and dogs, or working on a long list of fun house projects.

ERIN BOUDREAU
TEACHER
Ms. Erin grew up in Gorham graduating from Gorham High School. She worked for several years in early childhood centers, snuggling babies and teaching toddlers. After having two children of her own, she stayed at home raising them and helping to raise other babies whose parents trusted her whole heartedly to provide a safe and nurturing environment. When Ms. Erin is not in the classroom, she loves to chase sunsets, hike a mountain, and volunteer her time at organizations like the Animal Welfare Society and the Ronald McDonald House. She is also currently working to obtain her bachelor's degree for early childhood education.

AVA GERRISH
TEACHER
Ms. Ava is currently an undergrad student at the University of Southern Maine, trying to decide upon majoring in elementary education with an emphasis on special education or occupational therapy. She has had a love of teaching and caring for small children since she was a child herself. In her spare time, Ava loves to spend time with friends and family. She is a very busy student athlete playing softball year round. We love when Ms. Ava gets to spend time with us!

ROWAN CABLE
TEACHER
Ms. Rowan is currently in her second year of teaching at Fiddlehead, but she has been part of our school family for much longer than that. She began her journey at Fiddlehead 7 years ago as a parent when her daughter was 3 years old. She found her way back to Fiddlehead a few years after her daughter graduated for her son who was then 3 years old. In her son's final year of preschool, Rowan expressed an interest in becoming a teacher at Fiddlehead and we welcomed her with open arms! Rowan believes that all children and unique, deserve to be celebrated and believes in creating an inclusive environment where all children can thrive. In her spare time away from the classroom, Rowan loves rainy days, horseback riding, reading, baking, and gardening.
